Job summary

eNerds is seeking a Level 2 Systems Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Australia. You will support workstation builds and deployments, hardware diagnostics, networking, server management, and upgrades.

This role offers exposure to a variety of technologies and opportunities to advance your IT career. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in IT engineering or onsite support, strong desktop/server/network skills, and familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in IT engineering or onsite support roles.
• Strong skills in desktop, server administration and networking.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and cloud suites.

Responsibilities

• Onsite: Troubleshoot, support, implement & maintain infrastructure at client premises.
• In Office: Remote support for client infrastructure and escalation for the Service Desk.

About the Role

Are you a problem-solver, with a passion for technology and customer service? Join our Engineering Team who value passion and enthusiasm in delivering top-notch service as a Level 2 Systems Engineer.

As a detail orientated engineer/technician you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients with their needs from workstation builds/deployments, hardware diagnosis/replacement, networking support, server management/administration and upgrades/replacement projects.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone outgoing and bright, with a strong background in onsite support and customer service. You should possess robust skills in desktop, server administration and networking skills, coupled with the motivation to succeed under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Onsite

• Troubleshoot, support, implement & maintain infrastructure, onsite at our clients premises
• Contribute to infrastructure projects aimed to enhance value to our clients

In Office

• Remote support for client infrastructure
• Provide technical escalation for the Service Desk
• Participate in infrastructure projects to drive client success

How will you be successful?

Your application will stand out if you demonstrate a blend of technical and client services skills, with a strong emphasis on organisation, attention to detail, and working in a fast paced environment.

Must have' Requirements

With a Minimum of 2 years experience in IT Engineering, and Microsoft technologies (Windows 10/11 Pro, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Google Suite and the MS Suite).

You will also require:

• A current Australian Drivers Licence
• Familiarity with macOS
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and Determine the root cause
• Proficient in troubleshoot end-user computing (desktops, laptops, storage, etc.)
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (wireless, switching, access points, printers, firewalls, VPN, DNS).

Nice to have:

• TAFE Networking Qualifications
• Prior Service Desk experience is highly valued
• Familiar with Virtulization (Hyper-V, VMWare)
• Other relevant certifications (e.d, MCITP, MCP, MCSA, MCSE)
• Knowledge of Backup & Recovery technologies (ShadowProtect, Veeam)
• Exposure to Cloud Platform's (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, GSuite, Dropbox, etc.)
