Job summary

Aussie Broadband Limited is seeking a Systems Engineer/Administrator to maintain and evolve our physical and virtual server estate across on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll own operations, monitor performance, and contribute to automation and CI/CD tooling.

You’ll respond to incidents, participate in an on-call roster, and work with internal teams to deliver infrastructure projects, modernise our stack, and strengthen platform resilience and security.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Systems Engineer or Systems Administrator.
  • Strong Linux and/or Windows administration skills.
  • Experience managing on-premises infrastructure, virtualisation platforms and backup environments.
  • Exposure to infrastructure automation, CI/CD and version control tools such as GitLab.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise infrastructure.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Nice to have: Experience with VMware, KVM or Oracle OLVM.
  • Exposure to enterprise storage technologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, monitoring and observability tools.
  • Industry certifications such as RHCSA or VCP.
