Job summary

Centorrino Technologies Pty Ltd. is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide level 3 support for managed services, with a focus on servers and hypervisors. You will troubleshoot environments, translate client requirements into technical outcomes, and collaborate across teams.

You’ll stay current with evolving technologies, contribute to documentation, and participate in on-call and occasional overtime. Hybrid work arrangements and ongoing training support growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Systems Engineer with servers and hypervisors.
• Knowledge of Linux SUSE or similar is highly regarded.
• Experience with Microsoft and other industry certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide level 3 support for Managed Services customers, focusing on servers and services.
• Troubleshoot systems and infrastructure for managed services clients.
• Proactively raise and troubleshoot issues within a customer’s environment.
• Communicate with clients to translate business requirements into technical outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends in managed services.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems and infrastructure.
• Participate in paid on-call roster and occasional paid overtime.
• Mentor junior team members to foster learning and growth.

The hours for the role are 8:30-5 AWST, or 10:30-7 AEDT.

What you’ll do:

• Provide level 3support forall Managed Services customers, primarily working with servers and their services.
• Troubleshoot systems and infrastructure for our managed services clients.
• Proactively raise and troubleshoot problems within a customer’s infrastructure environment.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand theirbusiness requirements, translating them to technical outcomes to resolve their problems.
• Collaboratewithcolleaguesacrossthebusiness to ensure a successful outcome for the customer.
• Stay current withnew technologiesand industry trends in the managed services space.
• Develop andmaintaindocumentation for systems and infrastructure.
• Participation in the (paid) on-call rosterandoccasional (paid) overtime work.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience as Systems Engineerworking with servers and hypervisors. Any Microsoft SQL administration experience isadvantageous.
• Effective communication skills when troubleshooting technical issues. You will be able to remain calm and articulate, providing clear explanations of the problem and preventative measures.
• A keen interest in technology anda strong desireto ensure that all technology is functioning optimally. You will be willing to learnnew technologysolutions and concepts to confidently liaise with staff and external vendors.
• A positive attitude and can-do mindset, fostered by your proventrack recordof helping others resolve technical issues.
• Enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with change.
• A personality where everyone knows that when you take on a task whetherit’shuge and scary or tiny and boring,you’regoing to see it through to the best of your ability.
• Knowledge or certificates in Linux SUSE or similar is highly regarded.
• A strong knowledge of ticketing systems would beadvantageous.
• Microsoft and other industry certifications.
• Some of the best Google-fu in town.
