Job summary

Freedom Fuels is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join the Technology team at our Eagle Farm Support Office in Brisbane. This hands-on role covers corporate, retail and wholesale operations, taking ownership of core infrastructure and driving cloud, automation, security and technology improvements.

You will administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory and related services, support servers and networks, and contribute to projects and upgrades while enhancing system

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Systems Administration or related role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Active Directory.
• Experience supporting server, network and cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
• Experience contributing to projects, upgrades and system improvements.
• Proactive mindset to improve systems, not just maintain them.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory, Group Policy and business-critical apps
• Manage and support server, network, telecommunications and endpoint environments
• Monitor system performance, availability, backups and recovery
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support and escalation
• Support cloud adoption, migrations, upgrades and infra improvements
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement with scripting
• Explore emerging technologies including AI capabilities and assist implementation
• Contribute to cybersecurity, vulnerability management, disaster recovery and business continuity
• Work with vendors, consultants and partners on projects and improvements
• Maintain system documentation, asset registers and technology standards

What you'll do

What you'll bring

• 3+ years' experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support or a similar technical role

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Active Directory

• Experience supporting server, network and cloud environments

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the confidence to work through complex technical issues

• Experience contributing to technology projects, upgrades and system improvements

• A proactive mindset — you're interested in making systems better, not just maintaining them

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience with automation, scripting, cloud technologies, ERP/POS environments or system integrations will be highly regarded, particularly within retail, logistics, wholesale or another multi-site environment.
