Austal Defence Australia (ADA) is seeking a System Safety Engineer to support the System Safety Program for the Landing Craft Medium Program within the Systems Engineering team. This is a design-focused engineering role in defence, not WHS site safety.
You’ll maintain essential safety documentation, support safety forums, and contribute to verification planning while ensuring lifecycle considerations across Austal’s value chain. Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance is required.
As the System Safety Engineer for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), you’ll be responsible to support the delivery of the System Safety Program for the Landing Craft Medium Program within the Systems Engineering team. This is not a Work Health and Safety (WHS) related role. This role is an engineering role supporting the design of a ship, not WHS site safety compliance.
