Gate Gourmet, part of gategroup, is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to support our onsite team at a flagship corporate location in Sydney CBD. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation within a professional kitchen.

The successful candidate will operate dishwashing equipment, handle crockery and utensils, restock supplies, and follow food safety procedures in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Full working rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines.
• Good time management skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Previous hospitality or kitchen experience is highly regarded.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Wash and sanitise crockery, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Sort, stack and store clean items correctly.
• Maintain adequate stock of clean dishes during service periods.
• Clean kitchen appliances, surfaces and floors.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.
• Dispose of waste and maintain a safe, organised workspace.
• Follow food safety and Work Health & Safety procedures.
