Remitly Australia, Pty Ltd is seeking a Sydney-based Legal Counsel to support our growth in Australia and New Zealand, with exposure to APAC markets. You will provide practical legal advice on financial services regulation, product initiatives, and partner contracts, collaborating closely with business, product, compliance, and government relations teams.

The role is hands-on in a small regional team, requiring proactive, commercially minded judgment across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifikationen

• Advising on Australian financial services regulation, AML/CTF, and consumer protection.
• Negotiating commercial agreements with banks, payment providers, or other regulated entities.
• Turning legal requirements into practical guidance for product and business teams.

Aufgaben

• Advise on the regulatory framework across APAC, including licensing and privacy.
• Support new product initiatives, disclosures, and customer terms.
• Review and negotiate partner agreements with banks and PSPs.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Australia and NZ and advise on changes.
