Job summary

Nuix is building a new AI engineering team in Sydney, leading Enrich and a broader AI mandate across the platform for on‑prem and SaaS deployments. You’ll guide a distributed team across Australia, Ukraine and the US, partnering with a Product Manager and Architecture to shape the roadmap and deliver high‑quality software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with a track record of moving into leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading geographically distributed, cross‑timezone teams.
• Experience shipping AI features or model‑backed products is a plus.
• Experience delivering products across on‑prem and SaaS/cloud environments (Kubernetes is a bonus).
• Strong delivery management, stakeholder communication and healthy team culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and grow a cross-timezone team (Australia, Ukraine, US).
• Own delivery: plan, prioritise, manage risk, and ship quality software across on‑prem and SaaS.
• Translate strategy into a viable, sequenced AI roadmap with feasibility and trade-offs.
• Establish effective ways of working for a globally distributed team.
• Ensure engineering quality and security outcomes with secure-by-design practices.
• Stay close to technology to review designs and shape technical direction.
