Job summary

Daleys Point Swim School is seeking caring, energetic Learn to Swim Instructors. This role offers casual or permanent part‑time hours, with shifts including Saturdays and afternoons, to fit around family life while making a meaningful community impact.

As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will help children develop confidence, water safety, and a love of swimming in a fun, supportive setting. Training and qualifications will be supported and reimbursed after 12 months of continuous employment.

About the Role

As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will work closely with children of all ages and abilities, helping them develop confidence, water safety skills, and a love of swimming in a fun, supportive environment.

Reliability and availability are essential for this role. Our families rely on consistency, and we are looking for team members who are dependable, committed, and take pride in showing up prepared and on time for every shift.

Availability to work or cover Saturday shifts is a key requirement.

Essential Requirements

• Highly reliable with a strong commitment to scheduled shifts
• Available to work and/or cover Saturday shifts
• Able to work afternoons up until 6pm
• Australian citizenship or valid Australian work rights
• Ability to demonstrate basic swimming skills
• Must be able to work in a group and independently
• Must obtain a Working With Children Check prior to commencement
• Willingness to obtain a Learn to Swim Teaching Licence and CPR certification

Successful applicants will be required to complete their teaching qualification and CPR certification.

Training & Qualifications

We support our team in gaining the qualifications required for this role.

Instructors will be required to obtain their Learn to Swim Teaching Licence and CPR certification, and Daleys Point Swim School & Surf Swim will reimburse the cost of these qualifications after 12 months of continuous employment.
