Job summary

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a motivated Casual Swimming Pool Attendant to manage the day-to-day operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool. This role supports health, wellbeing and recreation for the Croydon community and ensures a safe, welcoming environment for pool users.

Key duties include supervising patrons, pool maintenance, administration, reporting and delivering excellent service while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• First aid and CPR certification current or able to be obtained.
• Customer service and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a motivated and community-focused Casual Swimming Pool Attendant to manage the day-to-day operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool. This is an opportunity to contribute to the health, wellbeing and recreation of our community while helping provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for pool users.

The Position

As Swimming Pool Attendant, you will support the daily operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool, including:

Supervising patrons and maintaining a safe pool environment

Cleaning and maintaining the pool and surrounding facilities

Completing administration, record keeping and reporting

Providing excellent customer service and promoting community participation

Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful applicant will have:

Current or ability to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification

Current or ability to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card

Pool Lifeguard Certificate

Strong communication and customer service skills

Sound literacy and numeracy skills

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

A strong commitment to safety, accurate record keeping and high service standards

Pool Plant Operations and Maintenance qualifications will be highly regarded.
