Job summary

Belgravia Leisure in Victoria is seeking energetic Swim School Instructors to teach swimming and water safety at Wurdi Baierr Stadium (Torquay 3228). Casual positions available, with morning, evening and weekend classes.

You will deliver lessons to varied ages, demonstrate strong communication, manage time and work well in a team. Qualified candidates with current First Aid, CPR, WWC and AustSwim or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Energetic, innovative and decisive teaching style.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Availability for mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant industry qualifications are essential.

Responsibilities

This is a great opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy swimming, love working with children, who want to teach the skills of swimming and the value of water safety.

The Role

Wurdi Baierr Stadium is looking for energetic, confident and motivated people to join our Swim School team.

The Swim School Instructor delivers swimming lessons to a wide variety of ages and abilities. Successful applicants will be effective communicators who demonstrate a strong attention to detail.

You will possess strong time management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision. Relevant industry qualifications are essential.

Multiple casual position available. We are seeking qualified swim teachers who are available on weekends for consistent classes each week

Skills & Attributes:

• Energetic, innovative and decisive teaching style

• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends and must be empathetic to the needs of the classes
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team

Qualifications

• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• Working With Children Check (or equivalent) & National Police Check
• Current AUSTSWIM Certificate – or equivalent
