Job summary

Emmanuel College on the Gold Coast is seeking energetic Swim Instructors to join our Aquatics Centre on a casual basis. Located in Carrara, the college offers Learn to Swim through National Level programs and a supportive team culture.

We require Austswim/Swim Australia qualifications (or equivalent) and a current blue card. Shifts before/after school, with classes shifting to term-based hours in Term 4, provide flexible yet structured work on the Gold Coast.

Qualifications

• Hold Austswim or Swim Australia qualification (or equivalent).
• Blue card for working with children (must be current).
• Experience instructing or coaching children of various ages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality learn-to-swim programs.
• Support students in developing confidence, skills, and water safety habits.
• Assist with before/after school shifts and align with term schedules.

Job Description

About the role:

We are looking for energetic Swim Instructors to deliver high-quality learn-to-swim programs and support students in developing confidence, skills, and lifelong water safety habits.

Shifts are before and after school for the remainder of Term 3:

Monday to Friday 6:45am - 8:45am and 3:00pm - 5:00pm.

From Term 4, classes will be during school hours, from 8:45am - 12:45pm.

About you:

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Hold (or are currently completing) Austswim or Swim Australia qualifications (or equivalent)
• Are confident working with children and young people
• Create safe, positive and engaging learning experiences
• Are reliable, enthusiastic and committed to student progress and wellbeing.
• Have experience instructing or coaching children of all ages (preferable, but not essential).

**All swim instructors MUST hold a current, valid blue card for working with children.
