Job summary

Ausenco is seeking Senior and Lead Project Engineers to join our Brisbane-based Sustaining Capital team. You will lead technically challenging projects across mining and minerals processing, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to safely deliver on time and budget.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in related discipline.
• Experience delivering engineering projects within mining, minerals processing or heavy industry.
• Experience in EPCM project delivery environments is highly regarded.

Working alongside industry-leading engineers and project professionals, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational performance, sustainability and long-term value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of sustaining capital projects across a range of mining and minerals processing operations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project objectives safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets and change management processes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and delivery excellence.
• Identify risks and opportunities, delivering practical solutions that drive successful project outcomes.
• Champion a culture of safety, innovation and continuous improvement across both office and site environments.

About You

You are a collaborative and solutions-focused engineering professional who thrives in a dynamic project environment. You enjoy solving complex challenges, building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. You will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline) or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering engineering projects within mining, minerals processing or heavy industry environments.
• Experience working within EPCM project delivery environments, including contractor management and site execution, will be highly regarded.
• Strong capability in project planning, scheduling, estimating and cost control.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.
