Job summary

The University of Melbourne invites applications for a part-time, fixed-term role as Manager, Sustainable Healthcare in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. You will lead sustainability education, research and engagement across six MDHS Schools, coordinating strategies and reporting.

You will supervise student projects, identify funding, and represent sustainability priorities in faculty forums, building partnerships with hospitals and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong project management across multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
• Experience applying quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Ability to engage with academic, clinical and professional stakeholders.
• Contribute to teaching or curriculum in sustainability or planetary health.
• Work independently in complex organisations with high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate sustainable healthcare education, research and engagement initiatives across all six MDHS Schools.
• Manage planning, implementation and reporting for MDHS and MMS Sustainability, Climate and Health Strategies and projects.
• Supervise student internships and small quality assurance or research projects with robust methodologies.
• Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant applications and philanthropic efforts.
• Represent sustainable healthcare priorities in Faculty forums, strengthening partnerships with hospitals and external stakeholders.
