Job summary

REMONDIS is seeking a Waste Support Officer to assist daily waste operations across our Pacific Epping and Pacific Werribee sites. Based on-site, you will promote sustainable waste practices, engage with tenants and staff, and help educate on recycling and disposal.

You will optimize bin sizes and collection schedules, inspect storage areas for compliance, and support cleaning and maintenance teams with waste issues.

Qualifications

• Motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about sustainability.
• Strong communication with tenants and staff.
• Organized, reliable, and detail oriented.
• Able to work independently and solve basic problems.
• Familiar with waste and recycling concepts.
• Aware of general workplace safety.
• Background in environmental science, sustainability, or education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily waste operations across both centers.
• Understanding site-specific waste streams and how they're managed.
• Suggesting sustainable improvements to existing processes.
• Optimizing bin sizes and collection schedules.
• Inspecting bins and storage areas for compliance.
• Promoting correct waste segregation (general waste, recycling, organics).
• Reducing contamination and improving recycling rates.
• Responding to waste-related issues with cleaning and maintenance teams.
