Job summary

Bunzl Australasia is seeking a Sustainability Manager to drive and implement our sustainability strategy across APAC. The role involves collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver evidence-based insights, training, and practical plans that reduce environmental impact.

Your work will include coordinating APCO-aligned reporting, lifecycle assessments, and product stewardship partnerships, ensuring accurate environmental claims and sustained improvement across Bunzl’s Australian

Qualifications

• Support the implementation of Bunzl Asia Pacific’s sustainability strategy, programs, targets and action plans.
• Monitor and share insights relating to sustainability trends, legislation, regulations, guidelines and best practice.
• Meet with customers to understand their sustainability needs and provide evidence-based insights through presentations, workshops, tenders and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Bunzl Asia Pacific’s sustainability strategy, programs, targets and action plans.
• Monitor and share insights relating to sustainability trends, legislation, regulations, guidelines and best practice.
• Meet with customers to understand their sustainability needs and provide evidence-based insights through presentations, workshops, tenders and reviews.
• Work with Sales and Account Management teams across Bunzl businesses to develop practical sustainability plans and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver sustainability training, tools and guidance to build capability across the business.
• Coordinate relevant Australian business units to meet APCO requirements, including Annual Report submission.
• Support life cycle assessments of high-volume products and packaging to inform customer sustainability and carbon reporting.
• Support the review of product environmental claims to ensure they are accurate, clear, evidence-based and appropriately communicated.
• Develop product stewardship partnerships with key suppliers and customers to reduce waste.
• Represent Bunzl in relevant industry groups, committees, partnerships and external forums.
