Job summary

Bunzl Australasia is seeking a Sustainability Manager to support the implementation of its sustainability strategy across APAC and engage customers and sales teams on sustainability initiatives.

You will build relationships, understand customer priorities, and demonstrate how Bunzl’s responsible sourcing, sustainable product solutions and community impact support customer goals. Collaboration across Bunzl businesses is essential.

Qualifications

• Collaborative and commercially minded sustainability professional with ability to build trusted relationships across customers, sales teams and business functions.
• Excellent communication of complex sustainability topics; translate insights into practical recommendations for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Bunzl Asia Pacific’s sustainability strategy, programs, targets and action plans.
• Monitor and share insights relating to sustainability trends, legislation, regulations, guidelines and best practice.
• Meet with customers to understand their sustainability needs and provide evidence-based insights through presentations, workshops, tenders and reviews.
• Work with Sales and Account Management teams across Bunzl businesses to develop practical sustainability plans and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver sustainability training, tools and guidance to build capability across the business.
• Coordinate relevant Australian business units to meet APCO requirements, including Annual Report submission.
• Support life cycle assessments of high-volume products and packaging to inform customer sustainability and carbon reporting.
• Support the review of product environmental claims to ensure they are accurate, clear, evidence-based and appropriately communicated.
• Develop product stewardship partnerships with key suppliers and customers to reduce waste.
• Represent Bunzl in relevant industry groups, committees, partnerships and external forums.

YOUR ROLE

As Sustainability Manager, you will support the implementation of Bunzl Asia Pacific’s sustainability strategy and lead customer and sales team engagement on sustainability.

You will build relationships, understand customer priorities and demonstrate how Bunzl’s capabilities in responsible sourcing, sustainable product solutions and community impact can support customers in achieving their sustainability goals.

You are a collaborative and commercially minded sustainability professional who can build trusted relationships across customers, sales teams and business functions.

You communicate complex sustainability topics clearly, understand different stakeholder needs and translate insights and data into practical recommendations. You are comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and supporting initiatives across a diverse organisation.
