Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to join the Australian Steel Markets Sustainability Team in Mascot NSW (Port Kembla considered for the right candidate). The role supports product credentials and ensures environmental claims are credible, evidence-based and aligned with best practice.

You will work across Manufacturing, Innovation, Product Stewardship and Marketing to develop data, governance and documentation, including LCIs/LCAs/EPDs and ecolabels, contributing to major updates

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience in sustainability or related field.
• Exposure to LCA methodologies, EPDs and ecolabels.
• Experience with rating tools such as NABERS, Green Star, IS Rating.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret technical data.
• Demonstrated initiative and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact for sustainability enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Innovation, Product Stewardship and Marketing to develop data and documentation.
• Manage sustainability claims governance.
• Support maintenance and development of LCIs, LCAs and EPDs including major update programs.
• Review and maintain product ecolabel certifications and assess new requirements.
• Develop technical content, tools and resources for customer engagement.
• Conduct research to support sustainability value propositions and credentials.
• Represent BlueScope at industry forums and networks.
