Job summary

6Points is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to support delivery of sustainability commitments for a major transport infrastructure project in South East Queensland. You will manage data, prepare evidence-based submissions, and promote practical sustainability initiatives across project teams.

Ideally you have 3–6 years of infrastructure sustainability experience and knowledge of IS ratings, carbon accounting, and responsible procurement, with strong data-management and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, construction or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years' sustainability experience on infrastructure or major capital projects.
• Knowledge of IS ratings, carbon accounting and responsible procurement.
• Strong data-management and report-writing capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sustainability obligations, targets, initiatives, evidence and action registers.
• Coordinate carbon, energy, water, materials, waste, recycled-content and social-procurement data.
• Support design and procurement reviews to identify lower-impact options.
• Prepare rating, client and corporate submissions with traceable evidence.
• Promote practical sustainability initiatives across project teams.

Job description

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to support delivery of the project's sustainability commitments through practical initiatives, reliable data and evidence-based reporting.
