CPB Contractors in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Sustainability Advisor to join our project delivery team on a large infrastructure project. The role reports to the Sustainability Lead and runs on-site in Brisbane for the initial phase.

You will support both tender and delivery phases, driving sustainability through design, construction and operation while collaborating with design, procurement and construction teams to embed sustainable practices.

Formación

• Degree in engineering or environmental science.
• Strong knowledge of environment legislation and rating frameworks including ISC Rating Scheme.
• Ability to influence people and upskill peers.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects is preferred.

• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve sustainability outcomes in both construction and operation.
• Educate project teams on sustainable design and construction practices and principles.
• Identification, implementation and monitoring of sustainability in design principles across key design milestones on the project.

The Project

CPB is working on a large infrastructure project as part of building Queensland’s future. We are currently seeking an experienced Sustainability Advisor to join our project delivery team on a project based in initially Brisbane until you transfer on to the project.

Your opportunity

Reporting into the Sustainability Lead, the Sustainability Advisor will support projects in both tender and delivery phase.

The role is responsible for:

• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve sustainability outcomes in both construction and operation
• Engage and educate project teams on sustainable design and construction practices and principles.
• Identification, implementation and monitoring of sustainability in design principles across key design milestones on the project
• Reporting on sustainability performance, including tracking metrics against the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating tool
• Working in collaboration with the design, procurement and construction teams and disciplines to embed sustainability into project delivery
• Investigating alternatives and innovations to drive sustainability outcomes on projects

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Relevant degree in engineering or environmental science and at least 3 years professional experience in sustainability management
• Strong understanding of relevant environment and sustainability legislation, policy, guidelines and rating frameworks including the Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) Rating Scheme
• Ability to influence people, nurture relationships and upskill peers
• Practical experience in delivering design and as built ratings. Employment history that includes major infrastructure projects is preferred
