Job summary

Indigenous Business Growth is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to support delivery of sustainability commitments on a major South East Queensland transport infrastructure project. The role focuses on practical initiatives, reliable data and evidence-based reporting on complex rail, station and civil works.

Relocation packages are on offer and Australian experience is required to succeed in this on-site Queensland project.

Qualifications

• Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering or related discipline.
• 3–6 years' sustainability experience on infrastructure or major capital projects.
• Knowledge of IS ratings, carbon accounting and responsible procurement.
• Strong data-management and report-writing capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sustainability obligations, targets, initiatives, evidence and action registers.
• Coordinate carbon, energy, water, materials, waste, recycled-content and social-procurement data.
• Support design and procurement reviews to identify lower-impact options.
• Prepare rating, client and corporate submissions with traceable evidence.
• Promote practical sustainability initiatives across project teams.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to support delivery of the project's sustainability commitments through practical initiatives, reliable data and evidence-based reporting.

Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) is a majority Indigenous owned recruitment business registered with Supply Nation, specialising in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction and major project recruitment. We partner closely with contractors, engineering consultancies and delivery organisations to place high quality technical professionals. Key Responsibilities
