Job summary

Bennett + Bennett Surveyors + Planners is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our Sunshine Coast Spatial team. You will execute spatial surveys from data collection to processing and delivery, balancing fieldwork with office tasks while collaborating with clients to meet project goals.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Surveying with registration (or eligibility) and have proven contour and detail survey experience, plus familiarity with 12d and Trimble/Leica

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate Degree in Surveying with registration (or eligibility) with the Surveyors Board of Queensland is highly regarded.
• Experience completing Contour and Detail Surveys.
• Proficiency with 12d and Trimble/Leica survey equipment.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution – undertake spatial survey projects from data acquisition through to processing and delivery.
• Mix of fieldwork and office tasks including pre-calculations, survey reductions and deliverable preparation.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and clients to support effective communication and progress.
• Utilising advanced surveying technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Operate with autonomy while staying connected to internal support networks.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Project Execution– Undertake spatial survey projects from data acquisition through to processing and delivery, ensuring technical accuracy, data quality, and alignment with client needs.
• Completing a mix of fieldwork and office‑based tasks, including pre‑calculations, survey reductions and deliverable preparation.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and clients to support effective communication and progress
• Utilising advanced surveying technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and outcomes
• Operating with a high level of autonomy, while staying connected to a strong internal support network

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as a Surveyor completing Contour and Detail Surveys.
• Exposure to Terrestrial Laser Scanning and a Remote Pilot’s licence is preferred, but not essential.
• A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Surveying, with registration (or eligibility) with the Surveyors Board of Queensland highly regarded
• Proficiency in 12d and experience with Trimble and Leica survey equipment
• Strong time‑management and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
• A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for delivering quality outcomes as part of a high‑performing team
