Bennett + Bennett on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Surveyor to join our Major Projects team on The Wave and other rail/civil construction initiatives. You will establish survey control networks, deliver set-out and verification surveys, manage data workflows, and mentor junior surveyors while collaborating with engineering and construction teams to drive project delivery.

This hands-on role requires expert knowledge of 12d Model and 12d Field, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Expertise as Engineering Surveyor on major civil, rail, transport or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with 12d Model and 12d Field; knowledge of survey control and set-out.
• Relevant qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaboration with construction teams.
• Ability to manage survey deliverables in fast-paced construction.

Bennett + Bennett is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Surveyor to join our Major Projects team and play a key role in delivering The Wave, one of Queensland's most significant transport infrastructure projects. Based on the Sunshine Coast, this position offers the opportunity to work on a major rail and civil construction project, supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure works from early construction through to completion.

Your Role and Impact:

• Establish and maintain project survey control networks.
• Deliver construction set-out and verification surveys.
• Manage survey data workflows and quality assurance processes.
• Prepare and review as-constructed and conformance deliverables.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, and construction teams.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors and field crews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of survey systems, processes, and project delivery.

What You Bring:

• Expertise: Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor on major civil, rail, transport, or infrastructure projects.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with 12d Model and 12d Field. Sound understanding of survey control, construction set-out, and as-constructed workflows.
• Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or equivalent.
• Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with construction and engineering teams.
• Delivery: Ability to manage survey deliverables in a fast-paced construction environment.

Highly Regarded:

• Experience working on major rail infrastructure projects.
• Experience with machine control and digital engineering workflows.
• Laser scanning and point cloud processing experience.
• Familiarity with large contractor environments including Alliance or Design & Construct projects.
• Ability to develop and review survey methodologies, ITPs and survey management plans.
