Job summary

Bennett + Bennett is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our Spatial team at the Sunshine Coast office. You will undertake spatial survey projects from data acquisition through processing and delivery, ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction.

You will work a mix of fieldwork and office tasks, with opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and access to advanced surveying technologies in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience completing contour and detail surveys.
• Exposure to Terrestrial Laser Scanning (preferred).
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Surveying with registration eligibility in Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution – undertake spatial survey projects from data acquisition to processing and delivery.
• Mix of fieldwork and office tasks including pre-calculations and deliverable preparation.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to support communication and progress.
• Utilise advanced surveying technologies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Operate with autonomy while staying connected to internal support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Project Execution– Undertake spatial survey projects from data acquisition through to processing and delivery, ensuring technical accuracy, data quality, and alignment with client needs.
• Completing a mix of fieldwork and office‑based tasks, including pre‑calculations, survey reductions and deliverable preparation.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and clients to support effective communication and progress
• Utilising advanced surveying technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and outcomes
• Operating with a high level of autonomy, while staying connected to a strong internal support network

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as a Surveyor completing Contour and Detail Surveys.
• Exposure to Terrestrial Laser Scanning and a Remote Pilot’s licence is preferred, but not essential.
• A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Surveying, with registration (or eligibility) with the Surveyors Board of Queensland highly regarded
• Proficiency in 12d and experience with Trimble and Leica survey equipment
• Strong time‑management and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
• A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for delivering quality outcomes as part of a high‑performing team
