Job summary

Transport For NSW is offering a two-year fixed-term full-time Traineeship in Surveying at Parkes or Wagga Wagga, commencing January 2027. You will gain hands-on experience while earning a nationally recognised qualification, with comprehensive training and supportive mentors.

No prior experience is required; you’ll learn on the job, develop surveying and spatial information skills, and explore a range of projects across regional NSW. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• You have completed Year 12 or hold a Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
• You are ready to commence full-time employment in January 2027
• You have reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You are willing to learn and can manage your time and priorities effectively
• You have demonstrated familiarity using corporate computing systems and applications or the ability to learn new systems with ease
• You demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, accountable approach in all you do
• You take pride in consistently delivering your best across school, work, and personal life
• You proactively seek opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
• You manage your time effectively and stay organised to meet your commitments

Responsibilities
