Job summary

EPSA in Australia seeks a skilled Survey Specialist to provide on-site survey support for mining and civil projects in Millmerran, Queensland. You will conduct RPAS surveys, develop 3D site models, and perform precise surface-area calculations to support field operations.

The role requires tertiary qualification in surveying, familiarity with Vulcan/Deswik/Point Studio, and a valid driver’s licence. Safety leadership and strong planning are essential for daily duties.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in surveying or equivalent is required.
• Open cut mining and/or civil construction experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• RPAS up to 25kg requires compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Current drivers licence is required.

About the role:

• Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will:
• Provide Survey Support to the project.
• Assist the Technical Services Department to meet operational needs.
• Conduct daily volume calculations.
• Complete on-site RPAS drone surveys/scans/photos/incident reporting.
• Create 3D models of mining sites using design software and digital imaging.
• Chart surface areas using GPS/ Drones/ Total Stations.

To be successful you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in surveying or equivalent
• Open cut mining and/or civil construction experience preferred but not necessary.
• RPAS up to 25kgs.
• Strong Technical and Analytical skills
• Strong organisational, communication and planning skills.
• Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.
• Experience using survey software including Maptek Vulcan, Point Studio, Deswik or similar preferred
• Current drivers licence.

This position requires the preferred candidate to undertake a QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment, a Pre-Employment Medical, and successfully complete Standard 11 training.
