RPS is seeking a casual Survey Assistant for its Port Douglas office. You will support the survey team with day-to-day tasks, such as placing pegs and marks and setting up equipment, across locations in the Port Douglas area.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, enjoy outdoor work, and are pursuing studies related to surveying. The role offers mentorship and a clear pathway to become a Survey Technician, with opportunities to grow within the team and contribute to diverse infrastructure projects.

Job description

Our experienced and successful Port Douglas office is looking for a Survey Assistant to join their growing and busy team on a casual basis.

You will work at various locations in the Port Douglas area assisting the survey team with their day-to-day activities, such as assisting with various manual tasks, placement of survey pegs, stakes and marks, and the set-up of survey equipment.

About You

Whilst no prior experience is required, you will be a person who is self-motivated with a positive attitude who is serious about a career in Surveying. Ideally, you will be studying in this field or a related field, however, applications from people with the right attitude and a desire to learn and grow are also welcome!

You will also have

• A Current manual driver's licence
• A passion for working outdoors
• White Card (ideally)
• Australian Citizenship, or Permanent Residency essential.
