Qualifications

• Degree in veterinary science registrable with NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board
• Strong clinical skills in small animal surgery
• Ability to work under supervision of the Small Animal Surgery unit and with veterinarians across UVTHS
• Enthusiasm and demonstrated ability for teaching
• Willingness to teach DVM veterinary students
• Desire to provide best-practice veterinary services
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Rotation of small animal medicine and surgery internship is desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality veterinary clinical services to small animals
• Provide an effective clinical service for hospitalised cases
• Ensure quality and continuity of service in the Small Animal Surgery unit
• Assist with the provision of excellent small animal veterinary services under supervision of experienced specialists
• Assist with training of DVM students including clinical rounds, tutorials and practical classes
• Maintain the reputation for academic excellence
