Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Monitor post-surgical patients and manage pain.
• Perform wound care, drains and post-operative assessments.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and blood products.
• Recognise and escalate deteriorating patients using clinical pathways.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with NSW Health policies.

About the Role

As a Travel Surgical Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality perioperative and post-operative nursing care across regional NSW hospitals. You'll support patients throughout the surgical journey, manage post-op recovery, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in surgical and mixed medical-surgical wards.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care
• Monitor and manage post-surgical patients, including pain management
• Perform wound care, drains, and post-operative assessments
