Job summary
HealthX is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Registered Nurse to support perioperative care across NSW hospitals. Roles cover metropolitan, regional, and rural sites with fully covered travel and accommodation, and competitive hourly rates.
Contracts are short-term (6‑12 weeks) with extensions possible. Applicants must hold AHPRA registration and have 1 year of surgical or medical-surgical nursing experience, with night-shift availability preferred.
Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year recent Surgical or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

- Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products.
- Recognise and escalate deteriorating patients using clinical pathways.

You’ll support patients throughout the surgical journey, manage post‑op recovery, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams in surgical and mixed medical‑surgical wards.

- AHPRA registration
- Must be available to work night shifts. Week One Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. Week Two Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a Residential Aged Care setting (or similar)
- Experience leading a small team and comfortable providing guidance and direction
- Proven skills in clinical care, clinical decision and palliation
- First Aid and CPR certificates are required
