Job summary

Fighting Chance group in New South Wales is seeking values-driven Female Support Workers to join our brand new SDA Housing in Beacon Hill. You will provide personalised in-home and community support to two women, helping with daily activities, appointments, and social engagement.

We welcome compassionate, flexible team members. Training provided; First Aid & WWCC required; NSW work rights. A supportive house manager and ongoing professional development accompany this role.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for values-driven, compassionate, and empathetic Female Support Workers to join our unbeatable team at our brand new SDA Housing in Beacon Hill.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for upbeat, confident, proactive Support Workers who are available to work shorter shifts, with the potential for further shifts in the future.

You will be providing support for two women within their home and out in the community. Home and community-based activities are centred on their needs and interests, keeping them engaged and building strong relationships. Supporting them on shopping trips, visits to cafés, and accompanying them to various appointments or to visit their families.

We are looking for reliable, committed, and empathetic individuals to provide quality care and bring a positive energy to the role.

THE ROLE INCLUDES:

• Delivering personalised support
• Providing in home support by assisting housemates at mealtimes, with personal care and administering medication
• Supporting housemates to engage and participate in their community
• Complete and enter any case notes for housemates you have directly supported into the Client Management System

YOUR SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

• Experience desirable, however we will train you along the way

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to work weekday mornings
• Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children check
• Possess or be willing to obtain a Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID003) Certificate
• Full NSW Driver's Licence, or P2
• Rights to work in Australia
