Job summary

McLean Care is seeking expressions of interest for Care Services Employees to join our Residential Aged Care team in Millmerran, QLD. You will support residents with daily living needs, promoting independence, comfort and dignity in a home-like environment.

Casual shifts include mornings, afternoons and overnights; the role offers a competitive hourly rate with penalties and benefits. Willingness to obtain checks and active First Aid/ CPR are expected.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Previous experience in residential aged care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support mealtimes to provide a dignified dining experience.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health or wellbeing.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning.
• Maintain safety, hygiene and infection control standards.
• Work closely with nurses and care team to support outcomes.

Remuneration: $34.59 per hour + penalties + super
Employment Status: Casual | morning, afternoon and overnight shifts available
Shift Times: Morning, evening and night shifts available, including weekend work

About the role

As a Care Services Employee, you will support residents with their daily living needs while promoting independence, comfort, dignity and quality of life.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Supporting residents at mealtimes and helping provide a dignified dining experience
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health, wellbeing or behaviour
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and positioning
• Maintaining safety, hygiene and infection control standards
• Working closely with nurses and the broader care team to support quality outcomes
• Providing companionship, reassurance and respectful person-centred care

About you

You are a caring and dependable person who brings empathy, patience, teamwork and professionalism to your work. You understand the importance of supporting older people with kindness and respect, and you take pride in making a positive difference each day.

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• Previous experience in residential aged care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical capability to safely perform manual handling duties
• Confidence using tablets or smartphones for work purposes
• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
• Two recent managerial referees
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons and nights
