Job summary

Calvary is seeking a Care Support Worker - Laundry in Coffs Harbour on a casual basis to support a safe, clean laundry service for residents and to work as part of a team delivering exceptional services.

You will help maintain environmental service standards, handle clothing and linen, and ensure stocks of clean linen are available, contributing to a high standard of cleanliness in the home.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
• Knowledge and experience in safe chemical handling (desirable).
• Commercial laundry experience (desirable).
• Experience in Aged Care (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Collects, sorts, washes, dries, sorts and distributes clothing and linen as per laundry instructions.
• Ensures adequate stocks of clean linen, towels and laundry skip bags are available in the designated storage areas in the home.

About The Role

The Support Worker – Laundry will support the delivery of a safe and clean laundry service for residents in alignment with appropriate standards.
