Job summary

Livit Disability Support is seeking a Female Services Support Worker to join our Mount Gambier & Millicent teams. This casual role covers mornings, afternoons, and overnight shifts as part of a 7-day roster, with opportunities to support people living with disability to live their best lives.

You will provide personal care, assist with meals and daily tasks, advocate for clients, maintain records, and work with multidisciplinary teams to implement personalised support plans.

Qualifications

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent is required; students welcome.
• NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check are required.
• First Aid, CPR and Safe Environments for Children & Young People must be current.
• Access to personal mobile phone and a reliable vehicle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Provide support with household duties including meal preparation, cleaning and laundry.
• Advocate for clients' needs and preferences, ensuring their rights and choices are respected.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans.

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering people with disabilities to live their best lives by providing compassionate, personalised support that allows them to thrive and participate actively in their communities.

Based on the island we have Casual position's available for Support Workers rostered over mornings, afternoons, passive/overnight shifts over a 7-day week, in our Kingscote team.

Livit Disability Support has charitable status for Fringe Benefits Tax purposes and is therefore able to offer attractive taxation benefits with up to $15,900 tax free per year and $2,650 tax free to use towards meals and entertainment per year through salary sacrifice!

What you'll need to have

A Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability (or equivalent) students welcomed

A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

NDIS Worker Check & Working with Children Check

Passion for health and safety demonstrated through maintaining First Aid, CPR & Safe Environments for Children & Young People

Access to personal mobile phone and motor vehicle

A positive attitude with flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster including passive overnight shifts
