Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a Home Care Worker in Forster/ Tuncurry to support elderly clients in their homes. This permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of $32.61-$37.68 per hour plus travel time and km reimbursement.

You will assist with daily tasks, provide personal care, and help maintain independence for clients in the local community, including transport to appointments and activities. Training and checks are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting values.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: Assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Personal Care: Support with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration.
