Job summary

Kirinari Community Services invites applications for a Disability Support Worker in our Community Participation and Day Programs. You will help customers participate in shopping, travel to destinations, plan meals, explore arts and creative activities, and develop essential life skills.

Join a team committed to empowering people with disabilities, supporting independence and community connections. Applicants should have experience in community-based supports and a current driver license.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability or community-based supports.
• Current Driver Licence.
• Willingness to undertake community travel.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Working with Children Check (where applicable).
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.

This Isn't Your Typical Support Worker Role

As a Disability Support Worker in our Community Participation and Day Programs team, you’ll help customers:

• Participate in shopping and community activities
• Travel to Bathurst and other agreed destinations

• Complete agreed domestic duties
• Build independence and practical life skills
• Develop confidence and community connections
• Support choice and control over everyday decisions

You’ll Need

• Previous experience providing disability or community based supports
