Job summary

Kirinari Community Services in Griffith, NSW, is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join the Community Participation and Day Programs team. Help customers build independence, connect with community, and achieve personal goals through a therapeutic, person-centred approach.

If you have the right attitude, no disability experience is required — we’ll train you. You’ll need a current driver licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and a Working with Children Check where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current Driver Licence is required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) is required.
• Working with Children Check (where applicable) must be obtained if required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Build independence and life skills in participants.
• Connect participants with their community and networks.
• Help participants achieve personal goals and meaningful activities.
• Support participants to explore hobbies, interests and employment pathways.
• Provide a therapeutic, person-centred approach focusing on strengths and capability.
• Contribute to a team environment that changes lives across the community.
