Job summary

You, Me and the Community is seeking a flexible and compassionate Support Worker to join our team across Logan, Brisbane and Ipswich. We offer varied shifts, ongoing and additional hours, and opportunities to work across multiple locations to suit participant needs.

Ideal candidates have Certificate III or higher in relevant fields, current First Aid/CPR, a valid license, and willingness to obtain required checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, mental health, aged care or community support is highly regarded.
• Must have Certificate III or higher in relevant fields and current First Aid/CPR.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle with insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check are required or eligible for before hire.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living activities and community access.
• Assist with personal care and developing life skills to promote independence.
• Provide participant-centred support across multiple locations as needed.
• Adapt to varying shift times and rosters across Logan, Brisbane and Ipswich.

About the Role

We have a variety of Support Worker shifts available across our services.

Shift times and hours vary depending on participant needs, so we are looking for applicants with flexible availability who can commit to regular and/or additional shifts.

Opportunities may include:

• Morning and daytime shifts
• Afternoon and evening shifts
• Weekday and weekend work
• Longer support shifts
• Regular ongoing rostered shifts
• Additional and relief/cover shifts

You may support participants with daily living activities, community access, personal care, developing life skills, promoting independence and achieving their individual goals.

Previous disability, mental health, aged care or community support experience is highly regarded.

What You’ll Need

• Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care or equivalent, or currently working towards a relevant qualification
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Valid driver's licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module, or willingness to complete
• Smartphone with reliable internet access
