Job summary

Grand Pacific Health is hiring a Support Worker to provide flexible, person-led mental health support to individuals and groups in Bankstown. You will work with families, services and community supports to help clients progress toward recovery.

This fixed-term, full-time or part-time role runs until 30 June 2031 with extension possibilities. The role includes ongoing professional development, supervision, and an employer-supported EAP.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Cert IV Mental Health or Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work.
• Commitment to recovery-oriented mental health services per National Framework.
• Lived experience of distress or recovery, or supporting a family/friend/kin.

Skills & Experience

• Qualifications in Cert IV Mental Health or Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work.
• Demonstrated commitment to working from a recovery orientation, in line with the National Framework for Recovery Oriented Mental Health Services
• Lived experience of distress/mental health challenges and recovery (or with the perspective of supporting a family/friend/kin).
• Demonstrated capacity to engage with and mentor people to work towards their recovery goals in a structured and planned way
