Job summary

Grand Pacific Health Ltd seeks a part-time Mental Health Support worker to provide flexible, person-led individual and group mental health support that builds confidence, practical skills and independence.

This role involves working with families, services and community supports to deliver coordinated, culturally respectful care, helping people work toward recovery goals at their own pace. Applications close 15 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Cert IV Mental Health or Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work required.
• Commitment to recovery-oriented practice per the National Framework for Recovery Oriented Mental Health Services.
• Lived experience of distress or mental health challenges (or experience supporting a family/friend).
• Ability to engage with and mentor people toward recovery goals in a structured way.

About the role

Provide flexible, person led individual and group mental health support that builds confidence, practical skills and independence. Work with families, services and community supports to deliver coordinated, culturally respectful care, helping people work toward their recovery goals at their own pace.

This opportunity is available as part time (30 hours per week), fixed term until 30 June 2031, with the possibility of extension.

Skills & Experience

1. Qualifications in Cert IV Mental Health or Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work.
2. Demonstrated commitment to working from a recovery orientation, in line with the National Framework for Recovery Oriented Mental Health Services
3. Lived experience of distress/mental health challenges and recovery (or with the perspective of supporting a family/friend/kin).
4. Demonstrated capacity to engage with and mentor people to work towards their recovery goals in a structured and planned way
