Calvary - Albury & District is seeking a casual Support Worker - Catering to help deliver healthy, hearty meals prepared by our Chef for residents. Reporting to the Home Manager, you’ll support the Chef and team in delivering a high-quality catering service within the home environment.

Formación

• Experience in food preparation and food safety.
• Desirable: HLTFSE001 Food Handling Certification.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritise workloads.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
• Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages to meet residents’ needs including dietary requirements.
• Plate and deliver meals with Care team, respecting menus and preferences.
• Complete cleaning tasks per schedule and sign off sheets.
• Document resident requirements and any exceptional changes during shift.

About The Role

As a Support worker - Catering you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents. This is a casual Position with shifts across a fortnightly roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
• Work with Care team to plate and deliver meals, ensuring familiarity with menus and the needs and preferences of individual residents within the home
• Complete cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule, filling in appropriate sign off sheets
• Document resident’s requirements and any “exceptional” changes which occurs for the resident on shift

About You

• Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety
• Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices) - Desirable
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment
