Calvary - Albury & District is seeking a casual Support Worker - Catering to assist the Chef/Cook in preparing and delivering meals for residents. You will work with the care team to ensure meals meet dietary needs and preferences, while maintaining cleanliness and documentation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety.
• Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices) desirable.
• Effective interpersonal communication in written and verbal forms.
• Ability to prioritise workloads.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
• Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages meeting residents' needs, including dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with Care team to plate and deliver meals and understand residents' preferences.
• Complete cleaning tasks per the cleaning schedule and sign-off sheets.
• Document residents' requirements and any exceptional changes during shifts.

Support Worker - Catering

About the role

As a Support worker - Catering you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents. This is a casual Position with shifts across a fortnightly roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
• Work with Care team to plate and deliver meals, ensuring familiarity with menus and the needs and preferences of individual residents within the home
• Complete cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule, filling in appropriate sign off sheets
• Document resident's requirements and any "exceptional" changes which occurs for the resident on shift

About you

• Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety
