Job summary

Venus WA Disability Support Services is a Perth-based NDIS provider seeking compassionate Support Workers to help participants live independently and engage with their community.

You will assist with personal care, meal prep, light domestic tasks, and community access, while promoting skills and independence. Training for medication prompting is provided, with shift notes and incident reporting as part of the role.

Qualifications

• NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain.
• Working With Children Check.
• National Police Clearance.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Full driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Disability (highly regarded).
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing and grooming.
• Assist with meal preparation and light domestic tasks.
• Support participants with community access and social activities.
• Promote independence and build daily living skills.
• Medication prompting (training provided).
• Complete accurate shift notes and report incidents.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you'll make a real difference in our participants' everyday lives. Duties may include:

• Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Meal preparation and light domestic tasks
• Community access – outings, shopping, appointments and social activities
• Supporting participants to build skills and independence
• Medication prompting (training provided)
• Completing accurate shift notes and reporting incidents
