Job summary

Capability is seeking a dedicated Support Services Manager in Canberra to oversee trauma-informed support programs for children and young people. You will supervise Therapeutic staff, house leads, and operational supervisors, ensuring high quality and evidence-based practice within a supportive framework.

The role requires coordinating care, developing plans, and working with partners to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to coordinate and schedule staff.
• Proven ability to lead and communicate with staff.
• Experience in complex multidisciplinary teams.
• High responsiveness and ability to innovate support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level problem solving and quick response to issues.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee trauma-informed support delivery.
• Coordinate daily care for children and young people.
• Collaborate with Therapeutic, Quality and Practice Teams and partners.
• Develop support plans, risk assessments and case plans.
• Work within therapeutic frameworks and guidelines.
• Manage frontline staff performance and development.
• Lead team planning and case reviews for children and youth.
• Maintain communication with CYF and DCJ.
• Adhere to practice standards and legislation.
• Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting.
