Job summary

Lifestyle Solutions in Melbourne is seeking casual Disability Support Workers to gain broader experience, with training and 24/7 support. Flexible to work various shifts and travel to client homes.

Join our team to help people with disability become more independent in their homes and community; receive paid training, central rostering, and PPE, with safeguarding and health support provided.

Qualifications

• Motivation to work with people with disability
• Experience as a support professional in challenging environments
• Knowledge of behaviour support plans
• Ability to manage and escalate challenging behaviours
• Flexible with sleepover shifts
• C3 in Disability or equivalent preferred
• NDIS Worker Check and National Police Check
• Full unrestricted Victorian Driver’s license
• First aid and CPR certificate

Responsibilities

• Active support: develop personal interests, provide personal care, transportation and coach independent living skills
• Health support: administer and document medication and follow health support plans
• Positive behaviour support: manage behaviour triggers and escalation
• Safeguarding: ensure safety of participants and complete documentation and reports

• Knowledge and understanding of behaviour support plans
• Manage and escalate challenging behaviours
• Flexible with sleepover shifts
• C3 in Disability, Individual Support or equivalent is preferred
• Available to fulfill a rotating roster including weekends and overnights
• NDIS Worker Check
• National Police Check
• Full unrestricted Victorian Driver’s license
• First aid and CPR certificate
