Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a positive and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to join the MLSS team at Oakey. The role covers inventory management, demand and issue control, repair and disposal activities, stocktaking and inventory control within a supportive project environment.

You will work with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality logistics support and be available to support exercises and deployments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' logistics experience within an aerospace/aviation environment; defence experience highly regarded.
  • A sound understanding of project management methodologies
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to support open interaction with customer support teams and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Competency in PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
  • Aircraft supply support services knowledge, skills and experience desirable
  • Baseline security clearance, or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stock analysis, inventory and stock level assessments for program activities
  • Manage orders and delivery schedules
  • Perform stocktake counting and manage discrepancies
  • Work with stakeholders across the program to deliver supply chain strategies and deliverables
  • Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies to resolution
  • Be available to support away-from-home exercises and deployments
  • Receipt, issue, storage, handling, packaging and shipping of inventory at the project

About The Role

Boeing Defence Australia is delivering critical defence capability across Australia and New Zealand through innovative engineering and trusted technical support. Supporting the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides maintenance and logistics support to the Chinook CH-47F platform. BDA is seeking a positive and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to join the Maintenance Logistics Support Services (MLSS) team based at Swartz Barracks, Oakey. This role plays a key part in all facets of logistics support, including inventory management, demand and issue control, repair and disposal activities, stocktaking, and inventory control management. You will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including the customer, to deliver a high standard of logistics support and ensure timely, positive outcomes. The role also offers the opportunity to support annual exercises. If you are new to logistics, bring a can-do attitude, and are eager to learn and contribute to a high-performing team, we would be pleased to hear from you.
