Job summary

Capral Aluminium is looking for an experienced inventory and procurement professional to help manage materials, forecasts, and stock levels. You will collaborate with internal teams to secure on-time delivery and optimise stock performance, ensuring high service levels for customers.

The role requires strong Excel skills, ERP experience (SAP preferred), and the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and deadline discipline.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in logistics, inventory management, purchasing, or related discipline.
  • Advanced level of computer skills including Excel and ERP systems.
  • Proven problem solving and ability to multitask to deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review requisition and procure inventory in line with forecasts and budget.
  • Expedite procurement of materials subject to backorders or stock-out risk.
  • Monitor products to ensure correct supply chain settings and outcomes.
  • Ensure stock outs and back orders are followed up to meet DIFOT targets.
  • Problem-solve daily issues and provide solutions to maintain service.
  • Liaise with internal suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Coordinate reviews of slow moving and obsolete stock; implement actions.
  • Modify forecasts based on feedback from sales and customers.
  • Prepare and circulate reports on inventory performance and KPIs.
  • Root cause stockouts and first pass rate failures; implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review requisition and procure inventory in line with forecasts and budget
  • Expedite the procurement of materials that are subject to customer backorders or are at risk of being in a stock out situation.
  • Monitor products to ensure that supply chain settings are correct and that they are delivering desired outcomes.
  • Ensure that all stock outs and back orders are followed up to deliver target DIFOT and stock levels
  • Problem solve daily issues and provide solutions to support a high level of service to our customers
  • Liaise with internal suppliers to ensure compliance with stated delivery times and quality of product
  • Coordinate reviews of slow moving and obsolete stock and carry out agreed actions
  • Modify and maintain forecast in line with feedback from sales and customers
  • Prepare and circulate reports into inventory performance and KPI’s.
  • Root cause stockouts and first pass hit rate failures and implement corrective actions
About You
Essential:
  • Relevant qualifications in logistics, inventory management, purchasing, or a related discipline or experience in a similar role
  • Advanced level of computer skills (Microsoft Office including Excel)
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar)
Desirable:
  • Experience in a similar role or industry
  • SAP experience
