Job summary

GFEX is seeking a data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to evaluate end‑to‑end processes and develop quantitative forecasting models for transport logistics. You will monitor KPIs, assess carrier performance, and support contract negotiations to optimise efficiency across freight operations.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, a degree in logistics or analytics, and hands-on ERP/TMS proficiency. Strong English communications and knowledge of Australian safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, business analytics, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in supply chain analysis or transport logistics.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, TMS, and analytical software.
• Knowledge of Australian transport safety frameworks (CoR) and HVNL is preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Analyse end-to-end supply chain processes and transport logistics data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Monitor KPIs across freight operations, delivery schedules, vehicle utilisation, and workflows.
• Develop forecasting models to align transport capacity with customer demand trends.

• Prepare analytical reports and present data-backed recommendations to senior leadership.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives using ERP and analytics tools.
• Ensure compliance with HVNL and CoR regulations.

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating end-to-end supply chain processes, developing quantitative forecasting models, optimising transport logistics, and ensuring full compliance with Australian transport safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Analyse end-to-end supply chain processes and transport logistics data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across freight operations, delivery schedules, vehicle utilisation, and operational workflows.

Develop and maintain quantitative supply chain forecasting models to align transport capacity with customer demand trends.

Evaluate carrier performance, freight rates, and vendor service-level agreements (SLAs) to support contract negotiations and vendor selection.

Standardise transport operational procedures and monitor freight and container movements to optimise turnaround times and service efficiency across transport operations.

Conduct route optimisation studies and fleet distribution analysis to improve transit times and lower fuel and operational expenditures.

Collaborate closely with dispatch, drivers, customers, subcontractors, and administrative departments to streamline operational handovers and workflow integration.

Prepare comprehensive analytical reports and present data-backed strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain network using industry-standard analytical software and ERP platforms.

Ensure all supply chain and transport operational workflows comply with Australian transport safety standards, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations.

About you

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in supply chain analysis, transport logistics, or inventory forecasting.

Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, transport management systems, and analytical software.

Sound working knowledge of Australian transport safety and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) frameworks.

Excellent professional verbal and written English communication skills.
