Job summary

Fastair Services Pty Ltd is seeking an analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join our Brendale team in Queensland. You will examine end-to-end procurement, supplier and logistics processes to identify opportunities for better delivery and cost efficiency.

You’ll work with data, suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to evaluate processes, identify risks, and implement improved workflows across procurement and logistics. A strong foundation in analytics and commercial acumen is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics or related field.
  • Experience analysing procurement, supplier and logistics processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with data interpretation.
  • Experience with supplier performance, pricing and lead times.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse end-to-end supply-chain processes to identify inefficiencies.

Task & responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse end-to-end supply-chain processes, including procurement, supplier fulfilment, freight, order processing and delivery, to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Collect and analyse supply-chain data, including supplier performance, purchasing costs, lead times, freight movements, margins and service levels, to support operational and commercial decisions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, market conditions, pricing trends and supplier capabilities to identify sourcing opportunities, cost savings and supply‑continuity risks.
  • Review procurement, logistics and business processes and recommend improvements to systems, workflows, supplier arrangements and internal procedures.
  • Analyse inventory, orders, shipments and delivery activities to identify discrepancies, delays, supply constraints and issues affecting customer fulfilment.
  • Assess supply-chain risks and recommend strategies to mitigate supplier dependency, price fluctuations, freight delays and service interruptions.
  • Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships and support commercial negotiations regarding pricing, contract terms, delivery arrangements and service levels.
  • Use SAP Ariba and other business systems to support purchasing, supplier management, order processing, reporting and continuous supply‑chain improvement.

Qualification & experience

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

  • A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Systems Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Operations Management or a closely related discipline.
  • Previous professional experience in supply‑chain analysis, logistics analysis, procurement analysis or a related analytical supply‑chain role.
  • Demonstrated experience analysing procurement, supplier and logistics processes and recommending operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply‑chain, purchasing, pricing and delivery data.
  • Experience evaluating supplier performance, pricing, lead times and service levels.
  • Knowledge of procurement, sourcing, freight, logistics and order‑fulfilment processes.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba or comparable procurement/ERP systems will be highly regarded.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis/reporting skills.
  • Sound commercial awareness and experience supporting supplier negotiations and sourcing decisions.
  • Ability to identify supply‑chain risks and develop practical recommendations to minimise disruption.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple supply‑chain priorities in an international procurement environment.
