Job summary

PX Resources in Australia is seeking a Supplier Management and Procurement Lead to own the supplier management and procurement function for the Australian business. The role requires hands-on ownership and the ability to operate autonomously without a large support team.

You will manage the full supplier lifecycle, onboard suppliers, perform due diligence, and work with Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure governance.

Qualifications

• Background and experience in supplier management, procurement or vendor management (6-8+ years experience)
• Prior experience working in a financial services environment (strongly preferred)
• Comfortable working across multiple categories withgood contract and supplier performance experience
• Understand third party risk and governance (CPS230 MSP/Operational Resilience understanding would be highly regarded)
• Highly organised and structured but also practical and commercial
• Can work independently without needing a large team around you

Supplier Management and Procurement Lead

We are working with an established international financial services organisation to recruit a Supplier Management and Procurement Lead for its Australian business.

This is a broad role that will give you ownership of supplier management and procurement function for the Australian business.

The opportunity will suit someone who knows procurement well, is comfortable working autonomously and wants to take ownership of a function. This is not a role sitting within a large procurement team with layers of support around you.

The key focus of the role is across the full supplier lifecycle, including:

• Supplier onboarding and due diligence
• Contract and renewal management
• Supplier and service provider registers
• Supplier performance and SLA management
• Working with internal relationship owners across the business
• Coordinating with Legal, Risk and Compliance
• Supporting third party and material service provider (MSP) requirements
• Helping further define and embed procurement processes and responsibilities
• Supporting sourcing and procurement activity across a broad range of categories

There is some strategic and commercial procurement work, but this is not a large tendering or category management role. A significant part of the position is making sure the fundamentals are working properly, managing suppliers effectively and helping the business take the right level of ownership.
